Bridlington Churches

Speeton, St Leonard

We are a small but very welcoming congregation in the Headland Benefice, and you are invited to join us for worship. Our services are 11am on the first, third and fifth Sundays in the month; on the first Sunday it is Holy Communion, and the other Sundays Morning Worship. We usually join the other churches of our Benefice on the fifth Sunday but that isn't happening at present. Check our website for more details.

Our Priest in Charge livestreams a service at 4pm each Saturday. You can find it on our Facebook page.

Set in farmland, St Leonard's is one of the smallest church buildings in Yorkshire, and also one of the most peaceful. It was built in the early Norman period, probably on the site of an earlier Saxon church. St Leonard's has many interesting features, including a Saxon font. Visitors are welcome at any time during daylight hours and, after having looked in the church, there is ample opportunity for walking on the cliff path, or down to the shore.
