Bridlington Churches

Grindale, St Nicholas

This medieval church, with a Norman tub font, was almost completely rebuilt in 1874 under the patronage of the Lloyd Greames family of Sewerby. It is unusual for being oriented back-to-front, with the altar at the west end instead of the more usual east.

You are very welcome to join us for our worship. All our services are in modern language and are family-friendly, and there is always coffee or tea and nice biscuits next door afterwards!  The pattern varies according to the Sunday of the month, as follows:

First Sunday: Morning Prayer at 9.30 am

Second Sunday: No service

Third Sunday: Holy Communion at 9.30 am

Fourth Sunday - United Benefice service in one of the eight churches - please phone 07734 467174 for details

Fifth Sunday: Morning Prayer / Family Service at 9.30 am

On Wednesdays at 10.00 am and every Sunday at 11.00 there is a Zoom service too. Please phone or email to get the Zoom link.
